Next Friday is a big day, and no we’re not talking about the Gilmore Girls revival (though we cannot wait for that!).  Its Black Friday, the biggest day for shopping!  Everyone will be out getting the latest and greatest gifts that stores are offering this year, but that’s not all you can get. So many stores participate in Black Friday but some are easily overlooked because most people are shopping for electronics and clothes. You can utilize this shopping day for your wedding. We’ve created a list of some stores that have some great deals on items you may want/need ♥

All You Need is LOVE and a WEDDING PLANNER

Many couples begin their engagement in anticipation of planning what will be one of the best days of their life. Even professional multitaskers find it extremely taxing to fully plan their own wedding. Typically, a couple will start by looking for a venue. Most sizeable venues will have an on-site Coordinator. However, Venue Coordinators are NOT Planners. They are solely responsible for managing the venue and the services they provide. They do not synchronize all facets of your wedding day, nor all of the vendors. Herein, we’ll outline the pros so you can decide if it’s right for you ♥

♥ Coordinate of ALL the details, with everyone and everything

♥ Assist with fine details that may have otherwise been overlooked

♥ Possess extensive knowledge of the local market, so as to accommodate any request

♥ Communicate on your behalf so that you’re not inundated with phone calls and emails

♥ Troubleshoot all minor or major issues with ease

♥ Manage any family crises

♥ Alleviate the stress and exhaustion from all of the tasks

♥ Research and choose vendors based upon working relationships, experience and rapport

♥ Manage your budget

♥ Help with the costs associated with vendors so that you’re not over-charged

♥ Create structure timeline on the day-of so that everyone knows where to be and when

♥ Coordinate all day-of tasks (There’s a million!)

Before you decide to take on the role of Bride, Groom and/or Planner, sit down as a couple and consider how much time, financing and assistance you have available. Consider what a Planner can provide, including professional support. Wedding planners are not simply intended for couples with unlimited budgets, they are invaluable assets whose services are well worth the expense. If you have a demanding job, inflexible hours, busy family life, getting married in a destination city or if you simply feel overwhelmed by the details involved, hire a Planner!!

Choosing Your Wedding Date

After you get engaged one of the first things everyone is going to ask you is when the wedding will be.  That’s a lot of pressure right off the bat, and you don’t have to decide on a date immediately. Take a couple of weeks to just enjoying being a newly engaged couple!  When it is time to set a date, here are a few tips to keep in mind:

♥  The first part of choosing your wedding date is the season. Keep in mind that late Spring through mid-Fall is peak wedding season, so this may be the time to avoid if you’re     looking for ways to save money.

♥  If saving money is a big concern for you, a great option is choosing an off day such as Friday or Sunday.

♥  Try to avoid significant days such as anniversaries or birthdays. Check with family members and friends so you’ll have a good idea of what days to avoid.

♥  Holidays are some other dates that aren’t necessarily the best option. While some holiday weekends have the benefit of having an extra day for festivities, you may run into higher costs for some vendors or other accommodations.

♥  If you’re into sports, keep some of the major sporting events in mind.  You don’t want to have anyone constantly checking the score during the ceremony!

♥  At the end of the day, all that matters is that you and your fiance are happy, no matter the date you choose.

Once you have your date set, let the planning begin!

Our Favorite Fall Color Palette

With the change of seasons, fall wedding decor takes on deeper tones highlighted by accents of nature. The Knot’s Andrea Fowler writes 12 Fall Wedding Color Combos to Steal. Of those palettes, our favorite by far is Frost, Blush, and Boysenberry! What makes this color scheme elevated, romantic and blissful is it’s bold impact of boysenberry coupled with the soft blush and earthy greens. This color scheme can also incorporate hues of navy blue and silver so as to compliment the boysenberry and enhance the amorous elements. Adding some crystallized accents would exude a more glamorous affair and sophistication while rustic, wooded accents generate a folksy feel. What’s your favorite palette?! #sculptabledesign #theknot #weddingplanning #weddingdesign #fallweddings
